The Community Seed Forum is an online space for seed libraries, exchanges and hubs to meet and share their experiences, wins and challenges.

Meeting every second month via Zoom for just an hour of informal peer support, the Forum is open to anyone at any point on their community seed journey.  Some members represent well established groups; some visit to learn from experience, but everyone is welcome and every contribution is valued – we all learn by sharing.

Sometimes the ‘meet ups’ are open and unstructured, but occasionally the Forum invites a guest speaker to share specialist knowledge.  Most recently we’ve heard from Maggie at the Incredible Seed Library who told us about how they raise small amounts of funding to cover overheads such as envelopes and refreshments at events: John at Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency revealed the secrets of funding applications and how to find available grants for larger amounts.  This month, the Forum will welcome Sue Stickland, author of Back Garden Seed Saving, for a Gardeners’ World style Q&A!

If you’d like to come to the Community Seed Forum, you’d be welcome.  Simply sign up using the Google form and we’ll send you an email with the link beforehand. (Or email Catherine – catherine@gaianet.org – to find out more).
